NEKST AS

70% of the surface of the earth is covered by oceans. Still it provides only 2% of our foods. Our technology will enable farming in more exposed locations and growth in new areas.  Our cage will allow salmon production in the most pristine and protected parts of the ocean, deep below rough seas, plankton and salmon lice.

HavLiljen combines the best technologies from both the aquaculture industry and the subsea offshore industry. The cage is pulled down to a depth of about 20 meters, by tailor-made subsea winches, where the salmon is protected and fish health and sustainability is secured.

History

The partners in Nekst have experience in all aspects of salmon farming, from eggs to market.   It is with this know-how that HavLiljen has been designed.

Below the ocean surface many risks can be eliminated and husbandry secured. The design and materials ensure the longevity of the cage and the safe working-environment for the personnel.  The design is grounded in well-known technologies and can be operated both at the surface and submersed.

It can be submersed during periods with rough sea, algae bloom or sea lice by powerful tailor made and smart subsea winches. The cage is equipped with double nets to avoid fish escape.
